Series Five: What to Expect

Two days of collaboration and strategic discussion among leading voices in luxury travel at the Arizona Biltmore:

Travel Pivots Series is by invitation only. We select participants who have been in the industry for years and those who are new to the industry to maximize collaboration.

Luxury Travel Agency & Group-Affiliated Owners, Directors, Managers, and Advisors
Hoteliers
Arline partners
DMCs
Representation companies
Cruise partners

Founder, Suzanne Shalaby, with over 19 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, partnered with Tyiesha Thaxton, Director of Leisure Sales, with over 29 years of experience, and the team at The Arizona Biltmore. The reputable Julie Mathews, joined forces as well, during Series One. They worked together to create and cohost a forum where participants can exchange ideas, successes, challenges and failures from their pivots in an open inviting setting.

Now Travel Pivots has become a collective group effort. The open minded forum exchange is limited to 50 of the best of the best attendees of both partners on the luxury advisor and partner side. Selected attendees’ years of experience vary from the seasoned to the newest in the industry based across The United States and Canada. We are celebrating five years in existence!

Is Travel Pivots Series Five still open for registration?

There is currently a waitlist to participate in Travel Pivots Series Five, but we will update this webpage if and when space becomes available

What is the next step after submitting a participation interest form?

You will be advised on next steps regarding registration and the reservation process.

How do you select attendees for Travel Pivots?

A new process is in place to determine the attendee list for Series Five. Advisors are vetted by their references, colleagues in the industry, and input from the planning committee. Advisors are selected and confirmed first. A list of interested suppliers are then provided to this curated list of advisors.

They provide their feedback on which suppliers they would like to participate. Along with their input, references given and input from the planning committee, the suppliers are confirmed and will pay a registration fee. The group is different every year with a mix of new and returning advisors and suppliers.
